Barry has been married to his wife Gayle (a returning student at Arizona State University) since 1984 and is the proud father of a young, athletic 11 year old sixth grader, Blair Ashley, and 27 year old Chelsea Lynn, who, as Barry puts it, "flew the coop many years ago in search of higher education and her own fortunes." In their spare time, the Hardill family enjoys Camping in the Mountains, Water Sports, Snow Sports, The Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona State University Football, Eating Out and most of all, Traveling. In a prior life, Barry had been a Private Pilot, Coin Collector, Antique Car Buff and Avid Snow Skier. The entire Hardill family has embraced technology and currently have no less than 8 Machines in their home and home office, performing many and varied tasks! Barry uses technology to his advantage, and as an owner and arch supporter of the POWER PAK 21 agent software package, he really has it together.

The system within POWER PAK 21 is great for keeping his current and past client base from falling through the cracks. Barry's customized "29 Point Marketing Plan" and "4 Color" marketing pieces make his listings stand out among all of the rest. He personally authored a list of over 100 questions that a seller should know the answers to, about their agent, before hiring them to sell their most valuable asset, their home. He even publishes the questions list and his marketing plan right here, on his Internet site, www.phoenixreferrals.com, along with detailed relocation information, his entire inventory of homes, mortgage application links with his lender and links to many other important sites in Arizona and the Phoenix metro area. He rarely misses getting the listing on his appointments, unless the seller is not realistic in their expectations regarding pricing. Barry has learned over the years that it is better to turn them down now rather than let them down later.

Barry earned the CBR and CRS Designations from the RMNI (Realtors National Marketing Institute) of the National Association of Realtors in 1986 and 1993 respectfully, and the ABR Designation from REBAC (Real Estate Buyer Agency Council) of NAR in 1998.

Barry has been retired from competition from both the Phoenix Association of Realtors and the Glendale/West Maricopa Board of Realtors "Presidents Round Table Program." He is one of only two Realtors who have received this "Lifetime Award" from two separate Boards of Realtors in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

As President of the Board of Realtors in 1984, Barry and his Board were the first signatories to VAMA (the Voluntary Affirmative Marketing Agreement) with HUD (the U S Department of Housing and Urban Development.) Additionally, during his term as President of the Board of Realtors, Barry was instrumental in establishing and developing the curriculum for the "Quick Start" Training Program at the Board Level and was one of the initial instructors for the program.

Barry has been awarded the Coveted "Centurion® Award" 8 consecutive years since merging his office with a friend and competitor in 1990! He is most visible within the CENTURY 21® System due to his consistent (never missed an issue) "Full Page/Four Color" ads in the CENTURY 21® "POWERSOURCE21" publication. Ever since the CENTURY 21® System opened the magazine up to individual and office advertising back in 1992, Barry has always maintained his presence! He feels that having his name in front of his CENTURY 21® peers is a major factor in his success as a Centurion® Sales Associate. His advertising campaign in the POWERSOURCE21 Magazine is renowned for both its uniqueness, creativity and consistency of message! Shortly after merging his office, Barry was introduced to the Floyd Wickman Method of Real Estate Training and went to Las Vegas every Monday morning at 5:30 AM for twelve consecutive weeks. His friend and former Regional Owner of CENTURY 21® of the Southwest, Inc., Mr. Larry Bryson, suggested that Barry take this course to get back up to speed as an agent in the field. It was just what the Doctor ordered! Since graduating from the Floyd Wickman Course in 1990, Barry has consistently been the Top Office Producer in both Listings and Sales and a consistent Top Performer in his Local and Regional marketplace. Barry had graduated from Wickman’s "Master Sales Academy" in 1991 and has never missed the event since. He was recognized, on stage by Floyd himself in 1995 with the "Platinum Award" for Sales volume in excess of $35,000,000 just since graduating from Floyd’s first Master Sales Academy in 1991! His total sales volume now exceeds $150,000,000 during his distinguished 27+ year career.

Barry's biggest thrill, in the real estate business, was on his wedding anniversary, March 17th, 1999. While attending the opening general session of the CENTURY 21® International Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, Bob Moles, the President and CEO of CENTURY 21® Real Estate Corporation Inducted Barry and 4 others into the CENTURY 21® International Hall of Fame. Since its inception some 15 years ago, there have been a total of only 53 CENTURY 21® Agents World wide that have been inducted into this elite group. Barry is the first Sales Associate from the Southwest Region to be so honored. It was especially sweet because his wife Gayle, and Daughter Blair Ashley, were present to hear the keynote speech to be given by Astronaut/Commander James A. Lovell and Mission controller, Eugene Krantz of the famed Apollo 13 Mission. Little did they know, that the honor which would be bestowed upon Barry and the four other recipients could actually outshine Apollo 13 for them.
